Questions
Is the sky actually accurate?+
Yes. All 5,044 stars in our catalogue are converted from equatorial to horizontal coordinates for your latitude and your moment, then projected so that the rim of the disc is your actual horizon. The engine is tested against Polaris, whose position is known in advance, and every check passes inside 1.2 degrees. The full method is written up on the How one is made page.
How soon will it arrive?+
Printing starts within 72 hours of your order, at whichever of our partner labs is closest to you. Most orders arrive inside a week. Delivery is free, and we ship to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
What am I actually seeing before I buy?+
The real artwork. The image on this page is generated by the same code that produces the print file, so there is no mock-up standing in for the finished piece.
Can I change the wording after ordering?+
For a short window, yes. Email us straight away and we will catch it before printing begins. After that the piece is already being made.
Can it be returned?+
Because each one is made for a single date and place, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we replace it, no argument.
What paper is it printed on?+
Museum weight matte fine art paper. The framed option comes glazed and ready to hang, with the fixings already fitted.
