Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit or order, why we are allowed to, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect, and on what basis

• Your order. The wording, date and place you chose, your email, and the address we are shipping to. We need all of it to make and deliver the piece, so the basis is performance of our contract with you.
• Payment details. Entered directly with Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers and we never see them.
• The place you search for. Sent to a geocoding service to turn a place name into coordinates. Nothing identifying goes with it.
• Measurement. Pages viewed, rough location from IP, device and browser, and which advert brought you here. In the UK and Europe this only happens if you agreed when asked. Elsewhere it runs on our legitimate interest in knowing which advertising works, and you can switch it off below.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. The tracker on this site is the Whop attribution pixel, from t.whop.tw, which tells us which advert led to an order. It is not loaded at all until you allow it if you are visiting from the UK or Europe. If you are elsewhere and would rather it did not run, clear this site’s data in your browser and choose no when asked, or use your browser and device ad-tracking controls. You can also limit this in your Meta account settings.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the order happen: Stripe for payment, our print partner for manufacturing and delivery, our hosting provider, and our advertising platforms for measurement. Each receives only what it needs. We do not sell your information.

Where your data goes

Our payment, hosting, printing and advertising providers operate in the United States and the European Union, so your order details are processed outside the United Kingdom. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards each provider has in place.

How long we keep it

• Order records for six years, because tax law requires it.
• Your print file for twelve months, so we can reprint free if the parcel is lost or damaged. After that it is deleted.
• Measurement data for the period set by the advertising platform, currently no more than two years.

Your artwork

We do not use your wording, dates or places in advertising. Every star map shown on this site and in our adverts is generated for an example date and place, never a customer’s.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to the measurement described above. Email hello@inspirecustoms.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
